Default Re: First time in Vegas w/car....Park?

Parking is one reason I don't often go downtown. Last trip was before Christmas and I found the Nugget garage completely full, ended up in the Plaza lot and overstayed my 3 or 4 free hours and hadda pay 'em for the pleasure of parking. And they wonder why downtown is dying?

or, it's b/c they want to encourage people to only park if they have to.

compared to the strip casinos, i'm sure a much higher % of people who gamble downtown have a car. they want their customers to have somewhere to park when they get there.

I drive a Chevy cargo van and can't fit into the Caesars garage (found out the hard way!). I have to park at the Venetian or Paris which I can barely squeeze into with about 6 inches of clearance. Good times.

That sounds like fun. Don't all the garages have the hanging bar that will klunk your vehicle if you aren't gonna fit? I've seen a couple oversize trucks start to pull in to various garages and feel the klunk and back out.

Question:
What do most 2+2ers have against walking?

Lived in LV 01-02 and played a lot at the Bellagio.
Self-parked. Not that far from the poker room, imho.
50+ and not in that great of shape.

Walking from the casino parking lot to the poker room is no big deal. Walking from the Belliago to any other casino - PASS.
