Ferguson is borderline unwatchable.

I've heard he's atrocious, but never actually seen the show. Is he worse than Carson Daly? Is such a thing possible?

Heh, given the demographics of this board I thought Leno would be getting killed, pretty surprising.

If you're old like me the Letterman of the 80s/early 90s was so good that the current submission can't even come close to comparing. I guess that's what taints my view of him today; what's more, Leno was an established and pretty decent stand-up comic before transitioning into his current role, so he doesn't come unqualified.

There were some awesome Letterman skits that were >>>> anything I've seen Leno do on his show, but this was 15+ years ago and I don't know if it is censors because of the earlier slot, moving to CBS, or whatever, but Dave sucks anymore.

I think Ferguson can have some really awesome monologues/intros, but seems to get really C grade guests which make the show a bit of a bore.

Network Rankings IMO:

Conan
Silverman's BF
Leno
Letterman
Carson
Ferguson

*Disclaimer*-Understand that there is a HUGE drop-off from Conan to Jimmy Kimmell.

Dave just doesn't seem like he's even trying anymore, and neither is anyone on his staff.

Letterman used to be great when he was trying, but he seems to have given up now. Everything is mailed in, I'm sure he hasn't actually bothered to write anything himself in at least a decade, I'm not even sure they bother rehearsing the show anymore. He got way less funny and edgy after his heart attack and when he had the kid. He never rips on anyone anymore, he's only there for the money now.

Leno is terrible. He's actually a funny guy (judging by his standup stuff from long ago), but his show is so watered down and lame. He comes across as a gigantic sellout/phony, I bet he's pretty cool off camera though. Conan is the best guy going, but I imagine he'll have to water down his show too once he gets to 1130.

I'm really curious why you thought this? Just because letterman is preaching to the blue?
