Seems to be an easy fold to me.
Is there something wrong that I usually like to bet
on the flop?

yeah, why the hell would you lead TPTK into the preflop raiser. it just folds almost everything we beat and hands that beat us call. its called a donk bet because donkeys do it

[/ QUOTE ]
Cause we can fold to his raise.Assuming he is so tight. But still no good?

[/ QUOTE ]

so the 10 (and 10 is pushing it) hands that beat us raise and the 60 hands that lead the flop fold and we win no more money. not a good idea.

[/ QUOTE ]
Easier to play our TPTK.No very tough moments.

poker players dont play to make a hand easy to play, we play to make money. betting makes the least where check calling makes the most.

JK,

--I really do not like to cold call with AKs/o OOP. I much prefer a three bet here (yes, even against these stats 50 hands is pointless).

-- Just by looking at the bet sizing here, I would be VERY confident we are calling to chop at best here.

-- The river is a fold, imo.

3 bet preflop, come on. 50 hand sample big [censored] deal, I'm so sick of people assuming that their 50 hand sample is reliable at all, IT ISN'T.

And as played, the river is an easy fold. Do you guys think villain is betting all three streets this hard with AQ? He is certainly going to be bluffing here VERY rarely, and is not value betting a worse hand hardly ever.

I agree that the river is likely a fold here, especially given bet sizing and timing, but reraising PF is by no means a necessity. I certainly think it is good, but calling is ok as well.

Occasionally, sure. But you didn't 3 bet because your hud showed 12/4 in dark red numbers, not because "reraising AK is not a nessecity." Am I right?

the 12/4 is def. a part of my reasoning, but I'm just as likely to smooth call here vs. many types of players simply because they opened UTG and we're closing the action HU.

im pretty sure that this was his thinking which was my problem with the hand because its only over 50 hands. this is the biggest mistep of the hand.

and i dont hate a river call here. hes raising AJ UTG which i tihnk is a horrible play, so hes probably not the best of players. and we have played the hand so passively i guarantee that probably no one at the table put hero on AK.
