edit- Another point is we don't know everything that will happen in an AC society, because there is no set system. The most effecient and beneficial system will be picked because that's how a free market works.

[/ QUOTE ]

You can't prove that.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't need to. Kenneth Arrow and Gerard Debreu already did it for me.

The market sets the standard. The victim's protection agency seeks out the murderer. Potential suspects appeal to their own firms for defense. Through arbitration and bargaining, an efficient standard is reached for all elements of a criminal investigation--arrest, search, going to trial, conviction, etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why should an innocent suspect even go to the bargaining table? What happens if they refuse?

You're firing blanks, dude.

I don't even have a gun in my hand. How is this any different then the old threads about "what will happen without government to create roads, huh?" threads?
[ QUOTE ]
Crime is presumed under all conditions.

huh?

The OP is about what happens in consequence. I suggest you try to focus and think up some relevant responses.

[/ QUOTE ]
What, do you want me to go to some alternate universe with AC and ask them what happens when suddenly people start shooting others for mowing the lawn? Just use your imagination. Or read WW's posts.

Why should an innocent suspect go into custody now?

For one they probably wouldn't be allowed to go on property owned by me and those who agree with me.

What if there is no victim, and the charges are fictitious?

The most efficient system is not necessarily the most beneficial system, unless you equate beneficiality with efficiency, in which case I would ask you to justify that.

Well we do know that companys can't survive without profit, and that they need to benefit consumers in order to make a profit, while also being effecient enough to draw that profit.

Okay, seriously, have you ever been to a Wal-Mart? Have you seen their prices and selection? There's a good reason why there are so many people there, and if that's what you call "exploitation," then brother, I love being exploited.
