Please remember that to Americans, America = The World.

But just because they think that doesn't mean the rest of us have to, and, more importantly, just becuase they think that don't make it so.

Most of us live in countries where prohibition is seen as the short-term moralistic bulllsh1t it is, so don't worry about it.

[/ QUOTE ]about sums it all up, my money's still in Neteller

I suppose PaddyPower is worth another look, but I anticipate Tribeca will withdraw from the U.S. in coming months and Paddy's player base will be decimated..

[/ QUOTE ]Tribeca closes in a couple of weeks, then all Tain/Tribeca traffic goes to IPoker, and boy do those tight ass games need some fishier players.

Say you had your money in a bank. Half of their account holders lived in Scotland, and all of them had their accounts closed and had no access to their funds. The other half of the account holders lived in England and had no problem transacting business as usual. If you were one of the English account holders, would you feel comfortable keeping large sums in that bank?

I don't feel safe with NETELLER anymore, and I want them to earn as little as possible off me.

Moving my business to MoneyBookers. Hope they are more trustworthy.

Too bad some of the sites I play on don't support MoneyBookers, so I'm afraid I will have to keep a small part of my transactions with NETELLER.

If I were outside the US, I might use Neteller for convenience purposes. However, I can think of various reasons which may explain why they froze US accounts with money in them, and none of those reasons would make me feel comfortable keeping significant amounts of money in Neteller.

Money is safe in Neteller

Seeing as how they've been lying to their US customers ("volume backlog... youll eft will come in a week") and have provided no timetables and no explanation for when they'll be able to retain their hundreds of million dollars... I don't know how you are possibly making this statement with so much confidence.

No, I'm in NZ and what neteller has done to our Yank friends is despicable. When a proper neteller alternative is available, I'll be switching over ASAP.

Also, wtf at OP
to an American: World=America
to OP: rest of World=UK & Europe

I'm also in the same boat. I'm Canadian and cashed out all my funds. My account was locked a few days ago for doing P2Ps for americans. So far I've been in no hurry to hound neteller to reopen my account. How neteller handled the US situation is absolutely appalling and I've lost all faith with neteller. As soon as a viable alternative to neteller is introduced, I'm done with them.

I've reduced my neteller to near zero but will use it occasionally.

I use mainly moneybookers as I can access it from Thailand and the fees are very cheap for peer to peer and to bank account.

And in the meantime clear any large balances out of there!
