Maybe not true for meat if you're a fan of rare/medium rare, but it works for most other things.

When I tried this (per your recommendation in the last "bacon in the oven" thread), it simply charred the edges and set off my smoke alarm.

Next I followed the instructions on the bacon packaging (think it was 400 for 11 minutes), and it turned out perfect.

YMMV.

try this: cook rice. cook thin slices of bacon for a minute, eat with seaseme oil.

Me too... the yellow box kind. I bought the cheap brand once and it was nasty. 20 seconds for yummy bacon > 2 hours. I could eat a million slices before these fools are done. I don't think I've ever had bacon from the oven, but if it's anything like the kind they have in restaurants... I prefer the microwave kind.
