[ QUOTE ] No. I have not. links? [/ QUOTE ] The very first post (stickied) on this page for starters. [/ QUOTE ] Okay. I apologize to the forum. I did not even read that first post. The PPA is a scam. However, my initial "idea" still stands. We simply need to form our own organization and funnel everything through it. I do not have any experience forming non-profit lobbysts groups. However, I'm sure there are people on 2plus2 who would know how to get this done. We have a VAST amount of knowledge on this site. We simply need to form our own organization. |

Right now, nobody (that I know of) is really in contact with the PPA. That's my hole point. [/ QUOTE ] Don't you see that this is what the PPA wants? Do you see why? |

IMHO, Key factors of this effort:
1) Throw other forms of gambling under the bus: casino games, sports betting (more established law on this under wire act). 2) Encourage poker sites to be poker-only, or clearly separate casino from poker. One HUGE problem for this whole "poker is a skill game" argument is that many poker sites offer casino gaming as well. So the next court filing will be a "cooperative witness" transferring funds to UB and losing it at blackjack. |

We need to get the big name pros to join in, or somehow get them motivated to start this thing. They have the money and clout to actually make it happen. I believe many would be interested. Suggestions on how to get that rolling? Could David Sklansky help us here?

I will help out in any way I can.
To me this effort needs to center around lobbying something akin to what Abramoff did (although without all the illegalities). Separating the skill in poker from other games is always going to be a long uphill battle. Perhaps a better direction is to push for the regulation of poker sites so that they can operate here in the US. Many of them would do so were it legal. It doesnt seem that they are opposed to regulation but since they do not all speak with one voice they have never pushed that hard for it |

Well, here's what I've got.
1) A metric assload of time. I've got a bunch of personal projects going, but I'm basically unemployed. 2) A few years of HTML/CSS/PHP experience 3) Whole life of computer experience 4) 10 years of sales experience 5) Whole life of playing poker 6) Desire What I don't have: 1) Legal contacts 2) Enough information, knowledge and support to start at square 0. 3) Tons of cash (I have virtually none of that besides what's locked into a few poker sites, and what is currently running the family business) |

EK - Look at actlue.com (i think) Do you have enough expertise to pull something like this off? This would be an ideal funding site for a poker pac.
Legal contacts - there are some washington insiders that have them, I can try to rustle up the old goup, or at least |
