I'm DontMessTX, for what it's worth. Looks like I'm doomed to finish 2nd place though.

Bah, you were the one that knocked me out of the first tourney when i flopped middle pair and you called my bet with a gutshot and hit on the turn. I pushed the river and when you called you turned over your straight with 23 and ended up taking over 1st place in the tourney.

That hand made me really sad, but I think most of it was cause I had been bleeding chips for a while now and wasn't getting anything to play with for the past 45 min after getting up to 14k really early on

[/ QUOTE ]

Heh, I went back and checked my hand history and can't really justify the call I made on the flop. Rough beat.

Quick math tells me I lost by 1.5 points

Oh well, there's always next week.

Implied odds? Haha.. I was watching that hand, I thought for sure stalker had something like 67 or some pair with a 7.

hehe.. Yeah, honestly though I didn't even see the straight. I just figured you thought that I was weak with my turn bet, so when you raised and I called, you put me on something big. My intention was to reraise allin once you reraised on the turn.

Wish maybe you figured that out sooner that you shouldn't have called that flop bet

But, there are always hands that make or break you. That happened to be a hand where you received a huge boost and catapulted into the ft because of. And unfortunetly for me, it sent me to the rail. NH sir

I think 4 ITMs is better than 4 FTs. In a couple months of doing these no one has FTd 4 of these, and only one, EXTREMELY talented MTTer has gotten 4 ITMs . I think 4 ITMs is rare enough, and achievable enough, to make for an interesting progressive pot.

As for adding the money to a TOC, I think this is fine; however, I assume we're quickly apporaching the 6 month mark which would be a good time to run the first TOC, and if that happens it's probably best not to use it for the progressive pot if we've only had a month or so for it to accumulate.

[/ QUOTE ]

If your really focus'd it's quite possible. I've gone 4/4 Ft'ing 180s before. But i tend to run really good in em, that and i think people tend to not have the right strategy for them

Any tips so we can take those down?

I would imagine part of it is to play tight early, remember that they will pretty much call with anything and everything, including any AX hand. Don't bluff at pots early on. limpers in the first level at least will still call a 4x bb raise with nothing.

You really don't see good players for the most part until you get down to the 30s.

There is a few more things that I could say, but it's about 1am and i have work in the morning.. more later.

Upon further review, I also have no defense for limping 34o UTG. Accept the following attempts:

1) I was the big stack
2) Was watching the end of American Idol (most likely)
3) Was getting something to drink
4) Busy mashing F5 on the 2+2 forums in an attempt to get them to load
