Default Re: Absolute switching to \'contributed method\' of rake calculation

i don't know of any site on the net deducts the cost of prop players from MGR. that is a huge deduction especially at stud or omaha where they used to pay 150% rake to the props and there would be negative rake for the rest of hte players almost all the time.

charging transaction fees is a good way to keep costs down, but the way absolute encourages in and out for their non stop reloads will scare away the three remaining customers for the site!

talk about shooting themselves in the foot...at least they are disclosing it. that is about the first fair thing they have done at least!

i found the contributed rake verbiage in their affiliate terms and conditions and just assumed they had switched without notice.

i have no clue what ub is going to do...they have been so screwed up lately i haven't even recommended them to anyone without expecting hassles.

however, it is virtually impossible to have two different methods of distributing rake on the same network, becasue there is a possibility of a shortage...where the total given out would be more than 100%, so in all likelihood ub will change to absolute's methods.

Haven't a bunch of affiliates stated that Absolute changed to the contributed method a while ago? So will the way they calculate MGR change? Or will they just start deducting everything like Full Tilt does?

It really seems like AP is either in financial trouble or making a strong move to become more profitable. Maybe they're just preparing for UB merge. In the past month or so they've cut prop pay, reduced bonus clearance, now cutting rakeback... It's almost like they opened their eyes and went, "oh crap! we're giving away way too much free money!"

It really depends on how strictly they enforce the various caveats of this, WRT bonus money, prop pay and dealt vs. contributed calculations.

We shall all see soon...
