Not to further derail this thread, but it's not uncommon to hear of sXe kids going to jail for beating the living [censored] (or in some cases killing) people who break their edge (start drinking or doing drugs).

The only good thing about all of this is that lots of the sXe kids have retreated to Salt Lake City where they're away from the rest of us and the Mormons have to deal with them.

I'm 21, and I thought I knew what straight edge meant. I was close, in that I thought it just had to do with being a person of high moral standards (no drinking, drugs, promiscuous sex, rebellion towards authority etc.). I had no idea that there was any connection to the punk rock subculture.

The guy right behind her makes the picture so much better.

Also the XXsnXX thing is used just because they have no other option for something to put around their desired SN. It's like using numbers but more annoying.

my aim name has an x in it because when i made it i was straight edge. i made it when i was a freshman in college, so i guess thats about 6 years old.

i like pictures like this better.

Straight Edge isn't dead. I have a friend who plays in the hardcore scene alot and most of his bandmates and fans are straightedge.

every wednesday night i play in a homegame with 5 straight edge dudes. a few weeks ago i drank vodka from one of their straight edge mugs.
