bet the flop, it gives you a)info on his hand ranges, b)builds the pot JUST IN CASE YOU HIT THE TURN.....

as played a raise would only get action from sets/smaller flushes........i think they're both drawin dead, slooo play it......

[/ QUOTE ]

Wait, you want me to bet the flop but just call the turn as played?

And what hand would BB have to overbet lead the turn?

Lots of typical multitablers lead the flop with a set in order to trap the mark.

I think AQ-KQ type hands are at least possible, AQ especially.

I usually hate minraises, but I think I like it here.

Why not cbet? Given BB's turn lead, sure you probably would have gotten check-raised, but with position then even multiway I like cbetting here.

Turn: FWIW, shoving is about $30 more than a PSR, and PSRs look pretty menacing to begin with, so I would rather make it like $99 here (maybe $115 if you like that bet size better, CATerp always says that donks love calling $99 though) and get it in on any river (even a paired board, while yelling "HYACHACHCHAHA" at my screen).

Why didn't you bet this flop?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was happy to peel in a 3-way pot here. I'll bet it often (and I'll b/3b against some opponents), but a bet is very likely to get called if 1) BB is slowplaying a big hand, or has a Q, or 2) UTG has a pair of anything.

And I knew I could get paid with a good turn.

[/ QUOTE ]

But now you're having some trouble figuring out a way to get all the money in. Another reason to bet this flop is to build a pot for when you hit the 5th [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

And why do you think it's bad for you when BB and UTG to check/call this flop?

I raise the turn to $99.97.

I'm not sure what I put BB on. I guess it depends on how bad he thinks the donk is. In other words is he overbetting for value? Because if he has a set why would he overbet after the flop checks through unless he puts you on something like JJ and wants to buy the pot or if he is ignoring you and thinks the donk will acutally call.

[censored] it, most TAGS are not good enough to think about all these things in real time at $1/2, i think raising is best not for protection, but for value. I would not be overly concerned with the board pairing.

Edit: By the way, I would almost always play this flop super fast, instead of checking behind.

I don't mind your check on the flop as long as it's not a normal thing, and jsut a lets confuse this guy thing. This flop should usually be bet. As played shove turn.

Min-raise FTW! A set is always calling a turn push, but maybe the donkey with TP or two-pair will come along with the min-raise. River [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is the only thing I hate to see.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, a paired board would not be so good...

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea, but nobody is getting away from one so you may as well keep the guy without a set in the hand as long as possible.

[/ QUOTE ]

Interesting lead from BB smacks of a whiffed C/R, doesn't it, 4_2?

If we assume BB has a set, how often does he fold to a shove?

[/ QUOTE ]

BB never folds a set. I want to get more of UTG's money in. A min-raise might scare the set enough to just call and allow UTG to make a call.

Too greedy?
