Please put up a note when it hits, I have my own thoughts about optimal play in this game and would love some meaningful insight by those who play regularly.

I used to play in that game 2-3 times per week for a bit but not much at all of recent. There was usually 2-4 tables going during the week, maybe as many as 6 on weekends sometimes........still the same or more?
I definitely think the 5-10 game would go quite often and am surprised they finally may do it, has been mentioned for a while.
Brian was definitely one of the stronger players in that game when I was playing a lot too.

You will probably learn about the maximum bet size increase in the news paper and on TV long before they start to spread the new game. Its part of the tribes renegotiated compact with the state, they cannot accept any bets larger than $150 increments since they added blackjack.

The new game is to have 5-10 blinds w/ a $1,000 buy-in instead of the 3-5 w/ $350. Max bet still $150. I heard one of the floors talking about it but don't know if/when it will be offered.

I'm going to memorize Nate's article (and hope he writes more) and try to find the cojones to play it like he says to which is very different from the way I see most of the players actually play the game.

i asked a dealer on friday when it was starting and he said that they were just waiting on the plaques.. I assumed it meant it was only a short matter of time.

Is this an article on 5-150 strategy? Do you have a link to it? I'm a limit player, and when I'm visiting Phoenix I usually spend my time at CA playing 8/16, but I've thought of giving the spread game a try next time I'm there. Thx.

Article

Yw, and enjoy. It was an eye-opener to me (in my defense I'll say that I haven't played the game much) and unlike how most of the players play it. Nate is apparently a thinker and I'm going to give his advice a try.
