So you got the mid back version? Also is it really better to get the chair in leather? What's wrong with fabric?

I prefer fabric as well, but I don't really know that much about furniture in general as I haven't been home schooled by the Queer Eye guys like Ed Miller has.

Meh, I'm not into strip clubs. I used to work at a pizza joint that delivered there and the Vu on 99..the drivers would always make comments about those places. I'd always say, "nothing better than a gut-busting pizza or pasta to pole dance to afterward."

Used to work/commute to Seattle when I was consulting for m$oft. Down in the bay area now.

RE: the prices, it's all relative. I think it's short sighted to say the Aeron et. al. are too expensive. Same argument w/ cheap beds. You spend too much time in these things to compromise. Also, when you get a little older or have back problems (I am both old and have had back problems), you'll understand a bit more.

I have a leap, but I always slouch in it and don't really get the full benefit of the fancy back system. I also wish it had a headrest.

I'm going to order a chair tomorrow. Anyone have a Steelcase Leap Chair? I tried the Leap and the Aeron and they seemed alright, but the Aeron's arms don't telescope forward--seems like it could be a problem for me as I have long arms. OTOH, I like the Aeron's look and fabric, etc more. The store didn't have the humanscale freedom and I need a new chair immediately(current one is broken). Which should I purchase?

I have the Leap and, although I like it alright, I really should have went with the Aeron

it doesn't feel like a $1000 chair to me - although I have zero back pain after sitting at it forever
