wouldnt you get sick of The Clash? I think that has to be a consideration. I picked The Grateful Dead over Bob Marley, Phish, Velvet Underground because they have a much wider range of songs and could satisfy many more moods/urgers to hear different type of music.

[/ QUOTE ]

I probably would. Over a life time, your going to get sick of one band. But I cant think of another band where I generally like most of their songs.

Prolly led zeppelin since I'd have a good 18 hours of non-repeating music (live/studio) each day.

[/ QUOTE ]

I love Zeppelin and and all, but 18 hours of non-repeating music means I would hear Kashmir on average 9 times a week or so. Impossible. Of course, I could just listen to Stairway again as a remedy...

Music is of course highly subjective.

However... I feel I can objectively say many answers in this thread are just awful.

Also... the Beatles

I think being forced to listen only to 311 for the rest of my life is probably the worst thing you could do to me. I honestly think I would rather lose all my limbs or something.

Oh, and I guess the Beatles, maybe the Stones.
