I guess Kersey was banging this chick I went to homecoming with back in his short-lived Seattle days. (this was years after high school). Another friend of mine and I figure that's a really encouraging thought for this girl's husband now.

So if you see him again, ask him if he's a fan of the Sea Gals.

Taraz,

You're no longer just a scrub in my book. You're like, King Scrub.

The Blazers used to practice at Sportsnation before they built their new practice facility, which was this large sports complex that was open to the public. It was weird, they'd cordon off the far court(s) with these huge-ass screens so you couldn't really see much. After pratice some of the guys would stick around and shoot jumpers. I remember seeing Rasheed there one time and thinking holy [censored] this is the biggest man I have ever seen and he can outshoot anybody in this gym. WTF.

Kersey ruled because he was one of those guys that you prayed made his first shot (if you were rooting against his team) because then a festival of bricklaying was sure to take place.

Nice story TSC. Anybody else from Oregon have the Blazer glasses from Dairy Queen? Those were pretty sweet.

I had the whole set, for two consecutive years but they have broken over time.
Clyde disappeared early on. I think someone stole him from my house.

But just a couple weeks ago my Cliff Robinson one (he is playing a video game on the glass) broke. I had a little moment of silence and moved on with my life.

Jerome Kersey was the second greatest Blazer of all-time, just behind

Haha, yeah Buck Williams is clearly better than Clyde the Glide, Bill Walton, or Sam Bowie. I loved that rivalry in the early 90s though, Suns-Blazers. Portland was stacked and so were the Suns. I've mentioned it on these forums before, but I was at the highest scoring playoff game ever, 153-151, Blazers vs. Suns in 1992. Good stuff.

Anyway, the league team that I mentioned with West and F. Johnson also has Lamont Hollins, who is the son of Lionel Hollins, who was a starter on the Blazers' 1977 title team. Not quite as skilled as the old man, but still pretty good and a super nice guy.

kind of surprised at how nice all of these guys are. that's good to hear. On Wed, I saw Tommie Frazier at the bar. He hangs out with a bunch of white dudes. He prob. weighs about 270 now too, lol.
