I'm only getting points towards bonus release for raked hands that I have contributed to now. Needless to say, it is now going a lot slower.

Please either email or call (preferable) absolute to complain about this. The bonus is definitely also affected even though they didn't list this on their website and didn't bother emailing us.
regular (i think) 1-866-788-3005 VIP hotline 1-866-208-9319 If you are a VIP as for "Gus". He is the director and actually knows something. |

Just finished a 'test' session.
It blows. Bonus will be much slower to clear. I don't care as much about the ARP's, the loss from reduced bonus will make me spend my time elsewhere. For those playing low stakes, bonus will be very slow to clear. At a small NL game I earned a little over 1 point while the pot went over $10 eight times. Would have been 8 points using the old system. Yes, at higher limits SH/HU the points will accrue faster. But it's not worth playing for points in those games - you play those for profit. The bonus is just icing. Bonuswhoring is essentially dead now. |

Ok, is this how it works now?
Say 1/2 NL, Preflop raise to 7, BB calls, $15 in pot. Flop is Cbet and BB folds. Under old system you'd get 1 pt. Under new system you'd get (15/.4)*.1=3.75 pts to distribute between mostly BB and PFR and a fraction to SB. So you're getting more like 1.75 pts under new system, isn't this better in these more common small pots at this level? Obviously it's worse for those 15/7 types but who cares... |

I emailed my VIP rep about this. Effect on 2/4 3/6 6max limit players? Is the bonus $ also effected?

Well they got a nice bump from players fleeing Party, so obviously they had to do something to screw it up and keep themselves entrenched towards the bottom of player traffic.

Taken from their T&C.This is dirty to do to stacked bonuses as it is changing the terms mid way through.
[ QUOTE ] The Bonus Amount will automatically be added to your Pending Bonus account where it will be held and automatically released to your cash account based on the following easy requirements; for each raked hand (minimum rake of $0.50) you play (you must see the flop) you will receive 1 point, [/ QUOTE ] FWIW Their skins have not changed this on their site. I figure they will change too though. |

[ QUOTE ]
While playing Poker, for every 40¢ in the final pot, 0.1 VIP points are awarded and distributed among those players that have contributed to the pot. The distribution of points to players is based on their percentage contributions to the pot. [/ QUOTE ] This sounds like a plan to force some of the $1/2 'pros' there to move up limits. I don't know, I can definitely see the downside since I primarily play $1/2 there, but this could really fuel the $3/6,$5/10 and up games. Just sort of typing while I think about this, so there could be mistakes..... Example hand where you'd normally get 1 point: Playing $3/6 you raise from the CO $6, BB defends. bet flop $3, BB calls bet turn $6, BB calls. bet river $6, BB folds. (river bet does not count as part of your contribution since bet not called) Now: Your contribution was 6+3+6=15, (15/.40)*.1=3.75 points Same hand at 2/4, 4+2+4=10, 10/4 = 2.5 points Same hand at 1/2, 2+1+2=5, 5/4 = 1.25 points Same hand at 5/10, 10+5+10=25, 25/4 = 6.25 points I don't necessarily like it, but it does make sense to reward the players at higher limits that pay more rake. |
