Carolina quit on the season, simple as that. Not characteristic of a John Fox coached team, but it happened this year.

[/ QUOTE ]

Which is why they won't be a John Fox coached team next year if Richardson wants to sell any tickets.

I don't know what's wrong with people. Carolina sucks and Pittsburgh doesn't. Easy money.

LOL. It's just a matter of time before you're a millionaire! Thanks to this post, I can't wait to get CAR +4, -105.

[/ QUOTE ]

The brainless fools like you are the reason sportsbooks make money. Once again, my analysis appears to be spot on.

[/ QUOTE ]

You really think everyone on Carolina was a brainless fool? How does it feel to be so clueless?

Let's see. I gave a factual post with information from watching actual football games, not stats and ratings and whatever else you guys use. Some idiot thought he should pick the other way, like someone who has watched every game this season would have less of a grasp on the team then him. Can't speak for anyone else, but I thought I made it pretty clear who was going to win today.

Pittsburgh won big, so you look like the smartest guy here. Everything is moot if you knew Carolina had already quit on the season, but you obviously watched the game and know that on top of the lack of energy everything that could go wrong went wrong for Carolina.

I'm glad you've watched every Carolina game this year. Tons of fun I'm sure, however pretty much meaningless w.r.t. sports betting.

I think they quit weeks ago, or at least played like it. This is the same heartless performance that I have seen week in and week out.

Agreed, yes it did. Overall, a back-up offensive line just has no chance against Pittsburgh's defensive scheme. Weinke was under constant pressure, and there was no reason for Pitt to stop since Carolina didn't feel like throwing deep to take advantage of single-man coverage. This game served as a culmination of everything that has gone wrong this season.

I get your overall theory, but I'm curious as to why knowledge of a team's ability is meaningless in regards to betting on/against them.

the people who set the lines know 100x more about the teams than you. and they will no matter how much you watch tv.

Generally, the more one watches football games the more terrible they are at betting. I get to watch maybe 20-30 minutes of football a week and I do fine for myself. Did anyone not know that Carolina is trash and that the steelers have been unlucky? I'll take CAR +3 again and again and again. It's too bad they don't play Tennessee next week cause all you donkeys would be loading up on the titans.
