Is the PS3 Demand Still There?

Ok so a little update because this actually got some replies.

I only ended up getting two. It was a package thing at costco and there was no real frenzy over it; but it could only be one per card-carrying member. So I got 2 systems+game+DVD+extra controller. Everything I see on US ebay is selling my package for max $900-1k ( I spent 700). But on UKebay they're selling just the system for that much. So i'll sign up for UK ebay and try to get my item on for a three day sale over the weekend. If this doesn't work I'll just sell it on USEbay and make a quck 300-400. Thanks for the ideas.

I'm a University of Oregon duck too, like some other 2p2ers I've found out.
