One additional reason to peel in this spot is there is really a lot of turn cards that is good for your hand assuming villain holds ak, a 2, Q, A or a spade. That is not too shabby. Iīm very much like you, if someone bets pot I am out of there without a read. But calling here canīt really lead to bad things in the long run.

this play is fine if u have a read on villian here. that is the key to 50nl. without reads tho villians r typically pretty crappy and will bluff/ bet a medium hand if u let them. this is a great example. with out a read he could easily make this play with a pretty wide range imo.

without a read i say his range on the flop is AT+ and 33+ (does that seem acurate to u or to wide?)

imo people play like [censored] on the flop when the board pairs. they all of a sudden think their mid pp is gold or their tpxk is the nuts since u cant have a 2. therefore i think his range is semi wide here on the flop.

now when u call on the flop u have a chance to reevalute the turn and that is where u might have a tougher descion and might wanna lay the hand down. if he makes another big sized bet it narrows his range pretty significnatly and we r now left with a big pot and tp2k so then u could fold. but i think a lot of the time villian will either check the turn or donk bet it and we will b in good shape heading to the river.

hope this helps since it seems u got flamed for this hand and i think u put a lot of thought into the post and didnt deserve people to b dicks about it.

ps u still havent hit me up on aim u donk

I presume he has a PP 88+.
Would he pot bet AK? I should reraise PF. It gives you an edge.

I would reraise to $19, with my position.

If u call, and you face another bullet you still dont know what your up against while you could have the best hand.

I believe AQ was the best hand here. That is why you should raise. Allin would be a oncomfi fold.

I agree that is a poor fold.

You are ahead a HUGE range of his starting hands. And behind.....AK and AA. (not counting the less realistic hands).

You are giving up a huge amount of pot equity with a fold here. Most of the time you will make money in this situation. You can't possibly plan to fold the flop in this position every time. Even if you are correct in fold on this occasion this is not a long term winning play. I think your bad run of cards has clouded your judgment and led you to take a weak passive line on this occasion.

And I am sure you would lick your lips when you see a weak passive player sitting at your table when you are playing better.

Call flop and reevaluate on turn.

Raising won't get a better hand to fold and makes it harder to get to showdown without putting our whole stack in. I don't understand the purpose of a raise.

This thread appears to be some sort of bizarre brag post. I like to think that hero watched villain stack himself with PSB flop bets holding unpaired undercards for the next 100 hands.
