aspoker, yeah my first post is wrong because I can't read. In the second one I was just pointing out that the idea that led to the scam is stupid since cashmanbrian would have to pay fees by making the neteller transfer. (i.e. never send money through neteller) It seems unlikely that anyone who regularly transfers money wouldn't know that, making it very very likely that the guy OP was talking to was not actually cashmanbrian (and incidentally maybe should have made OP slightly curious/worried about the transaction?)

I let CMB know about this post, I think he'll respond soon. Suffice it to say that it isn't true.

CMB is a tough W$ competitor of mine and I know he'll do a lot of stuff to get an edge over me or anyone else in the business, but one thing he isn't a blatant scammer.

Yeah, I agree that OP was probably extremely careless. It seems very very probable that he was never talking to the real CashmanBrian at any point in his adventure. The Neteller/Stars idea and the way in which he handled it was poor.

I still hope he gets the money back, but I don't think the people of MTTc can really help him here.

OP, you have about 30 minutes to pop into this thread and present us with a clear story that doesn't change or I'm deleting this thread.

What is the name of the person you were talking to on AIM?
What is the name you sent money to on Stars?
Explain this Neteller thing again, so we can get it straight.

Thanks.

Stars $ went to Cashmanbrian (Iowa City)

He was sending me $6000 on neteller for $6000 on stars so i can put it on Full tilt

Yeah, but what would you do to get an edge over him? Maybe pose as CashmanBrian and scam people out of 6k so they will ruin his good rep on poker forums?

I'm on to you!

This seems to be a very alarming claim, but it always amazes me the idiots who want to present a story where they got scammed, and can't take 5 [censored] minutes to make a coherent and understandable post. If you want to be taken seriously then make a serious post.

I'm 100% sure that this didn't go down as OP is saying it did. I've got a full screen of IM's trying to explain to me what exactly happened, and as soon as I figure it all out I'll let CMB post and probably lock this thread.
