Yes, because if he had said that the drug dealers on every corner were white, then he obviously was not in AC but had been magically transported to some strange time/dimension alternate reality.

Or do you mean he shouldn't have said that there were "black drug dealers on every corner", he should have just said they were "drug dealers on every corner" because of course they were black?
