WAAY too player dependent to give a constructive answer. Without reads, it is an easy fold of course.

wow no offense but all the posters who have commented so far (everyone said fold) are dead wrong, look at pot:stack size, this is like... easy call. easy. does anyone even read posts anymore?

preflop: 50 straddle (dead) -> cold call in position -> poster repops it to 200. My first instinct was this was too small, but a pot rr would be only 230 total, so its not that bad. Hero is OOP so I would lean toward a little more then pot, but 200 isnt horrible. Any case,...

flop: 630, then hero leads 350 - he has effective 650 behind now - and after the straddler folds, the cold caller pushes.

this is never AK, Hero, you suggested this, you are wrong, that isolates always vs a straddler, and given thep f, if he didnt, would now prolly move on it. if he was capable, atleast. Same reasoning w/ AA/QQ.

Anycase, tremendous odds, if he has 55 just spike the bdoor straight.

edit: precisely, to make the call correct, 650:~2630, you need less then 25% equity. wow, just gamble it up.

I read the hand differently; I read OP as leading on the flop for 350 and having 1200 more, so he's going to have to call 1200 to win 2500. He still doesn't need a ton of equity to make the call, but it's 33% rather than 25%.

I like a bigger raise pre-flop.

I am a long-time lurker, but I used to play a lot of high stakes poker before Party closed. That said, I open push the flop.

Bobbos,

My thoughts were the same as yours, except the OP is even more severely shortstacked.

People need to understand that the $50 straddle changes the game from 10-20 to 10-20-50. So OP is playing 10-20-50 with $1750 in front of him.

To be honest, I am playing poker right now and don't remember the action of the hand, I just know an A flopped and OP started the hand with 35 BBs.

I think a call is a definite option. I am not that good at short stacked play, but I would call.

I was thinking it was close because of the odds, but decided I could find a way better spot to get all in I guess.
