[ QUOTE ] Gee do you think that would be a good table to watch??? [/ QUOTE ] I'm going to go against the grain again and say no. Matusow is so freaking old to watch. Same schtick. You think he would let any of the others get a word in? No. [/ QUOTE ] Well, even if you mute the TV, I still think that table would've have much more interesting poker to watch. |

I usually am not one to criticize players from the few hands we get to see on TV, really. But is Shawn Rice one of the WORST players you've ever seen? Does he even know what he's doing? I'd provide specifics, but you all watched...I'd get a tl;dr for sure. [/ QUOTE ] I dunno. It was tough watching Chris Hinchcliffe for the first hour. |

[/ QUOTE ] True, but he is what he is: A construction worker who placed 3rd in a WPT event and decided to turn pro. He should be back to the jobsite this time next year, I'd imagine...Although fwiw Seif stated on commentary that Hinchcliffe was a pretty good limit player, not very good at NL. |

Although fwiw Seif stated on commentary that Hinchcliffe was a pretty good limit player [/ QUOTE ] I've seen him playing $100/200 at Bellagio, so at the very least, he acts the part. I think someone here once said he was a standard high-stakes LAG. "Someone here once said" isn't exactly the Washington Post of reliability, though. |

Re: PPT Mirage Thread
Finally got to see this episode. Regarding the table selection, I'm pretty sure it was selected because of Ferguson. I don't remember him ever being shown on WPT or PPT (though I haven't seen every WPT episode), even though he is a really popular player. They couldn't know he would bust out so early.

Re: PPT Mirage Thread
WTF is up with Elezra raising 7.5xBB pf with 88? What a donkey.

Re: PPT Mirage Thread
I thought Elezra was playing similar to how he plays on HSP, as if it were a cash game.
Watching Layne Flack self-destruct was interesting. I always enjoy watching Alan Cunningham play, he didn't do too much but was involved in some interesting hands. I felt bad for the sponsor exemptions who just sucked, that one old guy tried to toss in a bunch of chips like it was a huge raise and was $300 short of the min raise. Whoops. I liked the format of this show, especially being able to watch the early levels. I guess it's going off the air? |

Re: PPT Mirage Thread
This was the last PPT tournament. The scheduled 2nd season is in limbo, with a chance of starting in 2007 IF they get a TV deal (which doesn't look good).

Re: PPT Mirage Thread
This week's table is an improvement over last week: Harrington, Sunar, Hellmuth, Flack, Franklin, among others.

Re: PPT Mirage Thread
Hellmuth, the cash fairy.
He sure was in a good mood after busting out and losing all the stupid prop bets he made. |
