He'd be doing a lot better if he played in an offense that suited him , and if he had a receiving corps that wasn't arguably the worst in the league (see all those drops yesterday?)

I couldn't agree more.

LOL at people LOL at me.

The RB position has the highest risk of injury by far in the NFL and they are also pretty interchangeable. The difference between a top QB and an average QB is >>>>> than the difference between a top RB and an average RB. (Same with average to bad, you get what I'm saying).

It just simply isn't worth it for a team to invest heavily in a RB.

Seriously, look at Vick's best games, and look at who his passes went to. There weren't these WR short passes, they were dumps to RBs on bootlegs, and bombs. That's what works with him.

I think fantasy football has really distorted the value people place on running backs now

True...but with LT and Brees you could have a very good passing QB/game manager along with one of the greatest runningbacks of all time.

or you can have Vick...a solid QB/amazing athlete.

Seriously, look at all the 1st round picks used on RB's in the last 15 years and tell me investing alot in a RB is a good idea.

I think to fully evaluate this trade you have to look at the revenue Vick pulls in for the Falcons. Vick has made the Falcons into a valuable and entertaining franchise.

Is thats what works with him because of his lack of ability or becuase of his WR's lack of ability? I think thats the key question. I'd love to see what he'd do with a stud WR.

[/ QUOTE ]Knowing what we now know about Brees, I would definitely take Brees/LT, and its not close. I won't argue with you there.

I might not be believed because of my posts in the other thread, but I love watching Vick. He's one of the most exciting players in the NFL. I'd like to see the Falcons implement some Single-Wing sets--I got the idea from Bill Walsh, who thought it would be difficult for the league's defenses to adjust and regretted not trying the idea with Steve Young.
