flop and turn good, river bad.

True

I often disagree with what true says, but ^goot.

His second post summed it up well.

Be like 12 or something if you want to try squeeze value.

So your pushing PF then?

[/ QUOTE ]

Let's avoid the straw-man arguments, shall we? Obviously I'm not advocating a push.

What's wrong with making a small reraise, say to ~80 or so? You probably take down a nice sized pot immediately, but you also give bad players who can't get away from QQ or AK preflop the chance to make a big mistake.

Nah, it's cool

I just wanted a bit of discussion on PF. Really, I'm just surprised that everyone likes a smooth call in this spot, as I think a reraise is clearly better. No one has really provided much reasoning as to why a call is better...

I'd find a call better because it would easily stack off a potential JJ/QQ on a board full of rags, and also win another potsized bet on the flop from total air (such as suitedconnectors). I never really thought of making a small reraise pre, i'm sorta against that in some way.. but, it could be good vs an AK/QQ, as they would have it very hard to release those hands for just a small amount. If you do that, just make sure that they don't got the odds to hit their hands. In this case, a raise to 80 would make it unprofitable if the guy behind you don't call, which is very unlikely.
