TT+ has set value in multiway pots and also can win unimproved, the combination of those two makes raising worthwhile.

Yeah, I know that, but the fact remains that for those hands their dominant characteristic is winning unimproved, even in huge multiway pots. Would you limp TT OTB if a T were exposed before the action got to you? I'm asking not to be snarky but because I think it gets to the crux of the disagreement here.

I'd fold TT UTG if a T was exposed and I knew the pot was going to be 8 way.

What about this hand if we have TT OTB? So where is the dividing line. QQ?

In this hand OTB I have the best position and I know it will not be raised so I would limp TT if a T was dead and hope for a good flop.

But QQ you raise, right? Even though it's almost certainly going to be a 1 pair hand at showdown.

Somebody please explain to me why raising with AJo on the botton with 5-6 limpers is a good idea?

Cause I don't understand that one at all.

I'm raising JTs but limping AJo/ATo. AQo I raise about 85% of the time, and AKo I raise 100%.

My cutoff is 3 or fewer limpers -- then I raise AJ and AT. But 5 limpers... I don't think raising AJ does much for us. It's a pretty marginal hand, and after looking in PT, I'm not winning a lot of $ from AJo. (That could be because I suck at playing it, but still...).

That said -- I think raising is better than folding.

AJ plays well in large multiway pots when your opponents suck. I raise here but it's near the bottom of my unsuited raising range.

Folding and raising are both not good.

[/ QUOTE ]

In the B&M games you play in, and given your image, you should be raising, rory, raising.
