Re: Double checking because I got flamed for the next hour...

[ QUOTE ] HE saying push/fold with ltos more words [/ QUOTE ] actually I'm not. raise/calling is much better than pushing. but folding is best anyway so here it doesn't much matter. [/ QUOTE ] Is raise/calling better because we can induce a bluff shove? I dont understand standard raise being better, I do understand Fold >>> All though. |

Re: Double checking because I got flamed for the next hour...
Once you raise, calling was correct, particularly to a raise from the BB.
Raising 3xBB is very bad. Pushing is a little worse. Pushing is mathematically cEV-, and it is not close. Raising just ignores your position and stack size. I might limp here. That is my style. Folding is standard. |

Re: Double checking because I got flamed for the next hour...
I played in that tourney last night, went out right around 50th when I donked off my whole stack on a missed flush draw.
If your table was anything like the ones I was playing at opening with that hand is definitely +EV. I was stealing 2+ times per orbit with air and almost never got played back at. After the reraise you're kind of stuck and have to call and hope he has 77 or something. I'm guessing since you said you got flamed for awhile that he had AK or AQ and you hit your one live card on the flop? |

Re: Double checking because I got flamed for the next hour...
As most said, shove/fold situation.
2900 players in this MTT? I assume this a fairly low buy-in event. If so, shove preflop. You'll get called by a much wider range of hands (any pair, any ace, any two cards ten or higher) equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 45.9996 % 44.16% 01.84% { KQo } Hand 2: 54.0004 % 52.17% 01.84% { 22+, A2s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, A2o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo } |

I just moved from Party and never got to play many rebuys, even though my biggest win ever was the 33r on Party. I've been playing some rebuys this week and am not sure the quality of players at each level. What level of freezeout would compare to the final 50 of this tourney? |

Re: Double checking because I got flamed for the next hour...
well dont expect to see A2o all that often here. i'd say final 50 of 3r is equal to like a 22 or something.
