ship it crucial. [/ QUOTE ] hahaha. Gets me every time. From my experience after playing live every day for 3 months, guys with tatoos are actually less aggressive and less spewy than skinny Asian men. Thus, I don't think he's bluffing. The only question is whether he is the type that overplay worse 2 pairs because well, it's two pairs and automatically put you on AK because you raised pre-flop and bet on the flop and turn. Moreover, him calling quickly on the flop leads me to believe that he doesn't have a strong hand since passive players like him generally take longer with the nuts (ie sets). In short, I don't know what he has but I can't fold because I can't put him on a set or AQ; and he might have A10. I wouldn't be suprised to see KJ from that quick flop call. |

i like a turn check here most of the time, especially if i don't want to get it in vs a check/raise

Flatcall turn, call or raise river, jack his stack when it's not a jack.

Fortuna,
Did you look at the stack sizes? Villain won't have much left and thus can't be bluffed off a better hand with any river card most likely, and it's a mistake not to set him in if hero continues to play. |

this is close. Have you been playing your normal, very aggressive from LP game? If villain thinks you are prone to try and push him around I think you should push the turn. If he is playing weak against you I lean more towards a fold.

..I think he is gonna stop at 800 but he keeps going and counts out 2800 and throws it down fairly quickly and confidently [/ QUOTE ] That makes me a little more likely to put him on a hand you beat than anything else. I think it's still a fold, though. He's more likely to have AQ/44/KJ here than a semi-bluff or a smaller 2pr. Loose/passive live players also usually don't check-call flop in order to bluff later in the hand, it's typically more fit-or-fold type mentality. On the other hand, they slowplay all day. I think you'll be beat here more often than not. Kirk |

I doubt villain is gona check-raise with a draw on turn here. Board is AQ4T and Hero was the preflop raiser who bets hard on flop and turn. So obviously, villain has to know that Hero has a decent or great hand. More than 90% of the time, villain has at least 2 pairs here. The other times are rare pure bluffs.
Most likely hands that villain has are AQ, AT, KJ, QT, A4, and 44. Hero is ahead twice, loses 3 times, and chops once. The pot, including what villain has left over, is about 6100. So Villain needs to put in 3500 to win 6100 since villain will most likely call after that check-raise with draws or 2 pairs. I think we're behind here quite a bit but odds aren't so bad right? |
