Would you ever bet/3bet AK on this board?

RBK,

honestly im not in love with your thought process here in this hand. If you arent comfortable HU reraiseing preflop with KK and getting it in on this flop, then your game plan is likely flawed. I played some w/ Hung this summer and I thoguth he was good player but not as good as some of the tougher online guys. Reraise him a lot preflop, and bet the flop. If you arent doing this a lot, I don't like your reraise here with KK.

On the river, I might CR the way it was played. He will probably talk himself into a call with any Q. He might have a jack here too often to justify this, however.

All in all, looks like u set some money on fire this hand.

-Jason

I love how your reraise of his raise turns your hand face up. Are you NEVER inflating the pot OOP. I'm not a heads-up master but I'm fairly sure this is a leak and you should just call preflop with KK if it will turn your hand face up and allow him to play so perfectly that he loses relatively small amounts with TPBK and stacks you when he hits (just stating what you said).

I think RBKs reasoning in hand is perfectly fine, only thing I might have differed in would be to VB river myself instead.

He did only say he generally tries to keep the pot small OOP. Considering he's only reraising a couple hands for value he wouldn't have to reraise with something else (suited connector, lower pps) often at all to balance this.

rbk,

"waiting to get in the main game
HU vs hung la (one of the best no limit players i've ever played with)"

Given these factors, I don't think there's anything wrong w/ the way you played this hand.

Vietnamese have gambling blood. It's traditional for Vietnamese to celebrate Lunar New Year by gambling for money. And it's hard to find a decent job in the US for non-fluent English speakers with little education.

Fish-hunting is our way of rock-slinging.
