Most embarrasing or retarded thing you ever did at a casino

*I* never do anything retarded or embarrassing in casinos. No really--I don't. But I gotta relate tonight's event from Caesars LV...

It's 4:30am and the room is emptying. Suddenly from the NL5/10 table comes a chorus of laughter. They're all pointing and giggling and rolling around on the floor over something going on by the entrance hallway. We look and can't figure out what they're laughing at. Several suits look over and see nothing. Finally we see the guy standing in front of the potted plant...he gives a couple shakes, tucks it away, zips up, and saunters out of the room.

At this point the suits are switching between looks of outrage and amusement. They can't seem to decide whether they're really pissed off, or really entertained by it all. One of 'em trots down the hallway perhaps to look for the guy (not sure what they intend to do with him if they catch him). Another gets on the phone and calls for a cleanup since the guy's aim wasn't too good. I decide this has to be the highlight of the evening and it'll only be downhill from here so I rack up and leave.

Back in the early 80's I and some friends were attending the Gold Coast Open poker tournament (now held at The Orleans). During a lunch break of the N/L tourney I was in I walked over to a BJ table and started betting $25 a hand, well I won 24 hands in a row and never once increased my bet. I DD'd when proper and made two BJ's during my incredible run of hands so I made a tidy profit but had no clue (at the time) how well I should have done.

I headed back to the poker room to tell my buds about my great streak and immediately get berated by all of them for never increasing my bet, both embarassing and retarded. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Naturally I've never had such a run since although I have increased my bets often and mange to always lose at BJ now.

I was 11 or 12, and my grandparents took us to vegas, we stayed at treasure island, I had never been, and was super excited because of all the cool arcades and stuff, the first day we are there, we go to walk around the hotel a little bit and Im in awe of everything so Im looking around not paying attention, Im following my family into one of the arcades, not paying attention, and I slam myself HARD into a glass wall, my nose started bleeding, there was blood all over the glass, made a loud noise etc.


Also, they took me to tunica when I was probably 13, and I begged my grandma to put in some money in a slot and let me pull the handle, so she did, and not 4 seconds after I pulled it security came up and yelled at me.

First time I ever played in a casino, I played 2/4 limit at the Trop in AC. I am in the #10 seat, to the right of the dealer. The guy to my right won about 3 out of 4 hands, so when the dealer got up to change w/ the new dealer, he tosses a $5 tip to the dealer. But he didn't see it, and it landed on top of the money that the dealers are in charge of. Not knowing any better, I just grab it to give to the dealer before he leaves and within 2 mins, about 5 security guys come over and yell at me/count the money on the table. I ended up delaying the game for like 30 mins. because of it.

I have been on the casino floor for a few years now and you people do way more embarrasing things than this everyday. Some people act as if they have entered an alien world when coming into a casino.

I think it's funny the correlation between "most embarassing" and "first time" stories.

My first Vegas trip I was 20 w/o ID. I was playing $10 BJ at the trop and smoking a tobacco pipe to appear older (and I just love it anyways). I finish a bowl, empty the ash/leftover tobacco, pack a new bowl, light a match, light my pipe, fan out the match and put it in the ashtray. Shortly thereafter I feel my arm burning from the 4 inch flames coming from the ashtray. Aparrantly the tobacco wasn't completely burned and my match wasn't completely out. I didn't know what to do and just let it burn. The dealer and pit boss didn't know what to do either and just gave me a funny look. The dealer made fun of me, as did my buddies. The fire died within twenty seconds, but was pretty good when it was going.

realized that I hadn't clocked out and being the lazy ass model of poor decision making I had been all day

I decided to just step back up the two steps of the "down" escalator rather than ride it all the way down and then come back up the "up" escalator

Went down like George Michael in a public restroom

Never underestimate how hard it is to go up a down escalator or my stupidity

Another sands story ... Back when the room was smoking I used to collect matches from all the casinos and sat down to the poker room with about 7 packs of matches in my one pocket.

Understand playing 1-5 stud with some elderly people who are barely talking and all of a sudden this young kid jumps out of his seat spills his drink and proceeds to start screaming about pain while flailing at his pockets as if he was on fire.

Yes the matches in my pocket somehow lit the area around my table smelled like burned hair and burned pants.

Being embarrased and in a lot of pain I sat back down instead of getting some ice and kept playing poker.

As far as poker goes the very first time I ever played live was at Casino arizona. I sat down and the chip runner comes over and gives me $100 in chips, but I thought I gave my money to the dealer so the chip runner is standing there behind me waiting for me to give him my $100 and I'm sitting there staring at the dealer wating for him to take my money.
