reviews for fiamma that i am finding are less than resounding TT

and i suck at getting tables so i will NEVER get a table at da silvano's no matter what

you make us a reservation somewhere one night and we'll go eat truffles and play texas hold them

they are around lots of places that are cool and will grow mushrooms. england is where the good black ones come from i think. u.s has some and the whites as well. if i had a pig i would take it for a walk in the woods.

TT - I got the truffled risotto recipe from "What's Cooking America" - it's not usually a place I go for recipes, but a friend rec'd this one to me, and I like it:

Risotto with Chives and Truffle Oil

She calls for a black truffle, I like the white ones more in risotto.

Risotto with Peas and Prosciutto

That's also a go-to risotto recipe for me. In general I've found, with risotto, do not be afraid to stir while it's cooking

Oxtail is one of those funny things that you only get in fancy/foody restaurants or from the very poor. Lots of Central/South American places around me make this amazing oxtail stew with like hominy or something and it's like $5 [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

no pig but right now i have three chickens and a peacock that follow me around the yard and about twenty wild turkeys that follow them thinking they know where the best food is. i feel like that guy singing seventy six troumbones lead the big parage.
