Re: 15/30 on stars, KK in BB
I either 3 pop the turn or raise the river.
I call down a turn cap and think hard, but probably fold a river 3 bomb. PJ, I agree what you are saying with wanting to get SD with a pp, but when we have KK and all unders on the board I think we can get a lot more frisky. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, and its the texture of the unders here that make a turn 3 bet much more automatic. If the board were filled with more likely two pair possiblities then I could see more room for a straight call down. But on this board and this action, the turn 3 bet is pretty standard I think. |

Re: 15/30 on stars, KK in BB
maybe stars is different, but on party 15 you couldn't rule out many "two pair possibities" from small blind raisers. even J4 and the like.
this could also be a 54. |

Re: 15/30 on stars, KK in BB
For all you guys 3-betting the turn: many are saying they'd call down a 4-bet, but I'm pretty sure that's -EV to do so. The only defense I've seen is "people get retarded in blind vs. blind." Yeah, sometimes they do. But if you're routinely calling 4-bets and river bets in this hand with one pair (against an unknown*), you're losing money in the long run. I'm fairly certain of that.
* Only against a known LAG would I be comfortable calling a 4-bet and a river bet. |

PJ, How would you play TT here? Brett [/ QUOTE ] Depends. Sometimes I bet the turn and call down a checkraise. Sometimes I check behind on the turn to induce a river bet/bluff (though that often gives him a free 3-6 outer, but giving free cards is ok in this-size pot). If I get the feeling he has a J, sometimes I fold to the turn c/r. It's hard to say. |
