I'm pretty impressed that you have the willpower to both do two hours of work before class Monday morning AND stay two hours after class Friday afternoon. Also it's weird that your classes are only an hour long.

Mine are only 50 minutes long. Crim/Contracts is 3x a week, property/torts/civ pro is 2x a week, LPS (legal writing) is 2x a week

Noah- When do you take Conlaw/Criminal law?

My school just drastically changed our schedule as before I came, the 1L fall exams were staggered and some courses were switched around.

Now Civ Pro and Writing/Research is full year.

Fall: Torts, Property Contracts
Spring: Con Law, Crim Law, Intro to Prof. Lawyering and Responsibility.

Mon: Contracts 8-10, Property 10:30-Noon
Tues: Same as Mon
Wed: Torts 8-9, Property 10:30-11:30, Legal analysis/writing/research 2:20-4:20

No set schedule for studying through the week, although I usually take Saturdays off and end up working pretty much all day on Sundays.

Mon: Writing and Property
Tues: Contracts, Civ Pro, Torts
Wed: Writing and Property
Thurs: Contracts and Civ Pro
Fri: Torts

I do most of my studying in the evening, like after 7 or 8. As long as I don't have a memo to work on or anything, I usually try to get everything done M-F so I don't have to do crap on the weekends. This doesn't always work out as well as I'd like of course.

What does everyone plan on doing after law school as far as a career?

Not this year.

And I usually still go out Friday and Saturday nights, I live with my girlfriend so I get to see her often enough, I have a Caribbean trip planned for over break, etc.

I'm obviously not going to be this nuts come 2L, but I really want to be at the top, and its all well and good to say more time for friends, etc. but when everything is graded on a curve and I'm pretty sure there are people that live alone in apartments with a desk and a cot, reading cases and never sleeping, I need to keep up with the Joneses.

I'd like to be in government, DA or Fed prosecutor. Federal law enforcement would be pretty cool. It would be nice to be South of NJ, but that might be tough to swing.

I want to work in litigation for a while probably for a big firm in Boston or NYC.

If I don't end up happy there, or get burnt out, I would like to work my way to becoming a fed. prosecutor, but I'm really not too sure about anything yet.
