Re: FOX home of the BCS
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Third, Fox is not televising all of them. The Rose Bowl is still on ABC. [/ QUOTE ] 4 out of 5, really no difference. [/ QUOTE ] It should also be noted that in years when the National championship is in Pasadeana, it will be on ABC. |

Re: FOX home of the BCS
[ QUOTE ]
I seriously can't watch a game (with sound) if the people doing it are horrible. Fox's college folks are, ABCs are actually pretty decent. This is a bad beat. [/ QUOTE ] Same reason I rarely watch SportsCenter. I cannot stand a few of those guys, therefore, I cannot watch with the sound on. |

Re: FOX home of the BCS
Unfortunately, FOX is willing to spend the money for this stuff.
I really do enjoy ABC/ESPN's college-football coverage. And, as pointed out, Fox doesn't even do college football ni the regular season. Is it definite the national championship game is going to be Joe Buck? I read that Thom Brennaman is going to be doing one of their games too. I would guess maybe Kenny Albert or Josh Lewin or one of those guys would also be in on it but I don't really know. I hope that Fox does a decent job with the games but I'm not holding my breath. A lot of the national sports coverage is just flat-out disappointing. I've always hated the job that CBS does on March Madness compared with the reg-season and conference-tourney coverage on ESPN and ABC (Billy Packer drives me up the wall). I'm pretty sure I'm going to dislike the BCS coverage on Fox but I'm trying to keep an open-mind. Regular season baseball on Fox is not that hot and I'm really not thrilled with the post-season style either. The list goes on. Although i think I like what NBC is doing with Sunday Night Football and even what ESPN is doing with Monday Night Football, so those are positives. And ABC's coverage of the NBA is a decent product imo. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think NBC's Sunday Night Football, is the worst NFL broadcast. They have an annoying tendency to have graphics up when the play is starting, and too few replays overall. Also NBC owns the exclusive right to highlights after the afternoon games are over, and they don't doo [censored] with them. Overall I am very disapointed with NBC's coverage. Also, John Madden is highly overrated. |

Especially the last part. They killed NFL Primetime to bring Sharpe and Bettis on the air. That's just complete, total suck. |
