Btw, Marbury said he has tested the shoes thoroughly. I would assume he likes them, or he wouldn't wear them in actual NBA games.

Also, I think basketball shoes should be about delusions of being good at basketball, not about delusions of being rich.

Ok, I reviewed the gear and have come up with this conclusion.

Really, really poor kids will wear this, the rest will recognize this gear is no better than Starter crap you can buy at Wal Mart, and still desire the $150 Air Jordans. Ironically, middle aged white people will wind up wearing this Starbury gear.

whats ridiculous is the fact that you say that the kids will realize the stuff isnt much better than the starter crap at wal-mart, but the starter crap at wal-mart probably is just as good (from a practical standpoint) as anything nike puts out.

All:

Steve and Barry's is a great budget store, where those $15 shoes are the most expensive thing there.

The Starbury line is basically AND1 ballin' on a budget.

Daryn: I think inner-city kids will not buy these, but I think the average suburban b-baller will. Poor people buy expensive stuff, not cheap stuff. Part of the reason why they stay poor.

Hell, I bought my kicks at Marshall's during HS.

I really hope these blow up and people start to realize "hey these are just as comfortable and cool as Nike's, so what the [censored] was I paying $120 for." This might force the ridiculous prices down.

My brother has the Starbury hooded sweatshirt and its just as good quality as any Nike or And1.
