imho, cashing out of a site that has, or says it will, leave the US market is a no brainer. But large sites that are trusted, such as paradise or stars, I think it makes sense to leave a good br in the site and wait.

As for me, I started playing on interpoker last month, because they had a bonus that was very attractive. They announced that bonus was no longer available to US players. I pulled out all of my money in 2.3 nanoseconds, and will never go back. I also pulled my modest br out of tilt, not b/c I don't trust them, I do, but because I play on paradise and stars MUCH more, and don't need money on all the different sites right about now.

But I would definitely assume that replenishing one's account from the US may become difficult/mildly risky in a few weeks/months. Now the law appears loophole ridden, and one of the $64,000 questions is what neteller and its like will do, but even if they all pulled out of the US, some company would spring up. The other questions are whether paradise/stars etc will continue allowing US players to fund their accounts, by whatever means. That is the $6.4 MILLION question, and I wouldn't even venture a guess.

What makes you think they can't or won't instruct/order the ISPs to block access? They do it in China and they will do it here. It's a simple letter to Comcast or AOL backed by the governments power and threats and that's the end of it. Do you really think ISPs will make an issue of it?

ISP's don't block anything right now, even child pornography. The costs of implementing such things is too large. I agree that they could, but I believe they won't.

Bill doesnt say that you have 270 days to play, it says that the banks [as methods of transfering money for gaming] have 270 days to implement the stipulations of the Act. ie. they cud do it in a day, a week, a month...or the whole 270 days.
taking a gamble on ur method of transfer complying in 270 days and no sooners is WAYYY -EV.

I'm cashing out because I've got more $ in the sites than I need for a BR.

I'm cashing "just in case".

I'm cashing out because I see no compelling reason NOT to cash out.

I'm keeping my BR in the sites and Firepay. Any advice or reason I should open a Neteller account?

Read the Bill. The soon-to-be-law indicates that ISPs can only be instructed to block US based sites. All gambling sites are offshore (obviously).

Everyone is cashing out because they are morons.....you will still be able to play, they wont block ISP's and there will always be some kind of a method to deposit or withdrawal (i.e. western union)

In my case I am hugely overrolled for what I play. My excess bankroll was being used for sportsbook bonus busting - something that requires a good roll. Very profitable. Now that I have extricated myself from all sportsbooks, I am moving money stateside to make money the old fahsioned way - invest it.

It has nothing to do with panic and everything to do with my money working at all times. Even after I move money I still have enough online to be way overrolled for my limits.

I'm cashing out cos I've worked for a gambling company that went bust before, trust me, the customers (and the staff) will be the last to know, many companies will do as they should and have the players funds seperatly, but many wont, and when these companies go bust the customer is the last person to get paid out (i.e. nothing left).

Some rooms are more at risk than others, someone mentioned full tilt and I have to say I'm fairly confident with them, mostly becuase they upped there opperations from the US to ireland recently suggesting that they at least to some extend pre-empted this and intend to carry on, other euro-only sites such as Ladbrokes, will hill and betfair should also be quiet safe
