Re: Who lost 2 million in one night playing the Big Game?
[ QUOTE ]
I think it was 2 weeks ago when the featured table at the WSOP had Rene and DN. Norman Chad said Rene said he wasn't playing in the big game anymore because he lost too much money in it. Maybe that was it. [/ QUOTE ] Well Tuco says it wasnt Rene, so thats good enough for me. BTW, Tuco, are you mike, adam or neither? |

[ QUOTE ]
How about the Jamie Gold challenge? Now that someone has accepted his offer, lets see if he accepts. [/ QUOTE ] Didn't Jamie Gold already excercise such a challenge when someone accepted his offer to split his WSOP winnings and then Gold declined to accept? |

Re: Who lost 2 million in one night playing the Big Game?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Didn't Negreanu say he lost over a million in one day (possibly more at the other days), and stopped playing it. [/ QUOTE ] I'm sure I've read that all the big game regulars have lost $1 million in a single day at some point. That would be a 125 big bet loss in the limit games. Most of them seem more than willing to play 12+ hour sessions. So, it would be unreasonable to think any player could avoid a loss that big if they played the game for years. [/ QUOTE ] DN even said he lost this much, and that Ivey even commmented 'You finally popped your cherry,' which was hilarious on just SO many levels. |

Re: Who lost 2 million in one night playing the Big Game?
there was one session where daniel was stuck a million during the course of the session, but came back to cut his losses to much less than that. that session is the one where phil made the cherry comment. there was another recent session during the wsop where daniel actually finished the session down over a million.

Re: Who lost 2 million in one night playing the Big Game?
Based on the HSP episodes my first guesses would be Elezra and Farha. Those guys don't seem to believe in folding so I could see it getting ugly for them when they're running badly. Also Greenstein lists both of them as having poor steam control on his website.
I get the impression that Elezra is one of the players that the best players in the big game want to be nice to in order to get him to stick around. In the Rounders interview with Esfandiari he was gentle about saying that Elezra's a good player but that folding isn't his strong suit. This brings to mind the KJo hand where he cold called a huge reraise preflop and then stacked off with a pair of jacks. So the strengths of his game are that he's aggressive and that he can't be bluffed. The weaknesses are that...umm he's a fish? Anyways Tuco I just started listening to your radio show archives and I've enjoyed them so far. Keep up the good work. |
