I'd say they were. cinci had a better offense but their defense sucked.

Big Ben was hurt for several games...yet they still finish with the same record as cinci...but lose on the tiebreaker.

Head to Head...yeah maybe...but Cinci doesn't make it out of the AFC playoffs even if they do beat Pitt with a healthy Palmer. They lose to whoever they play the following week.

Pitt wins the SB.

$100 friendly wager sound good? I say Minnesota makes the playoffs; You say they don't. Loser will transfer the money to the winner on either Party or Stars.

Deal?

bumping my losing thread...

Anyway, I didn't do too bad this week. I just assumed dallas didn't cover last night, do to the day I was having. 2-3 overall. down a unit plus some juice.

Anyway, I don't really like this Minny bet... but I offered it and can't pull it back now since they're 2-0.

2 games vs detroit and green bay. 1 vs san fran, 1 vs miami, 1 vs AZ, 1 vs saint loui, and 1 vs my jets

Nice bet Fisher. also Party works for me.

Now (Minnesota is) 9-2 under Brad Johnson. Now have beat two of the NFC's final 4 teams from last year.

WHAT ELSE DOES THIS TEAM HAVE TO DO TO CONVINCE YOU GUYS???

[/ QUOTE ]

They host Chicago next week; winning that makes them instant playoff contenders. Still, Minnesota is the new Jacksonville and could quietly get 10-11 wins this year.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, maybe if they beat Chicago, we heard all offseason how the Dolfins finishing 6-0 meant they were waltzing to the SB, etc, etc. I feel the same way about Minny now. Beat Was without Portis and then get a gift from CAR's idiocy to win last game. It's a long season, lucky for them their division is teh suck, so they might get the last playoff spot and get roasted opening round.

While this is true a win is a win in the NFL, I don't care who you're playing a road win is a big time win in the NFL and while CAR was injured its not like they are terrible now. I'm not saying MIN is going to SB or anything but if you told me you looked at MIN sked before the year and didnt have them starting 0-3 after L's @WSH,CAR,CHI then you'd be lying. So now they are at worst gonna come out of that 2-1. They will finish around 8-8 or 9-7 but if they get a couple breaks that would easily be 10-6. They already about to get thru the hardest part of the schedule. They play NE in Week 8 and then after that only 1 of 9 games is against a team with a winning record the year before so if they can be 5-2,4-3, or even 3-4 they should be able to still get to 9 wins.

kinda funny how everyone is agreeing now while 2 weeks ago nobody would listen.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe because there has been a pretty big change in playoff teams from year to year. Just because a team was good or bad in 2005 doesn't mean they'll be that same team again. I know you know this. And because some people don't agree with you doesn't mean you SHOULD TYPE IN ALL CAPS!
