SSNL generally regards NL25 online as having a similar average skill level as NL1/2 casino games.
Online 1/2 games are MUCH tougher than 1/2 casino games.
As a pretty experienced NL25 player who lives in Jersey and goes to AC pretty often, I'd say it's pretty accurate. If you're crushing NL25 online you should be fine at casino 1/2.

live vs online....

most players will tell you that 1-2NL live is similar to 25NL online based on their experiences, caliber of play, etc. I certainly agree. Makes sense since 1-2NL is typically the smallest live NL casino game you'll fine and $25NL is one of the smallest online games (before the micros anyway)

I'd probably start at 200NL online if I were you with that bankroll. You've got plenty of money to afford it and might as well start getting that level of experience right away. Keep playing it until you've establised you're a winning player (at least 20k hands I would say), then move up, and so on... and so on....

Thank you everybody. I appreciate the help. It seems that my level of experience puts me anywhere in the 25NL to 50NL range, and so that's where I'm starting. Mostly attempts at 3-4 tabling 25NL or 2 tabling 50NL and 100NL with ABSOLUTELY NO BJ. That's so dangerous. At least live, I'd have to walk over to the paigow side. I'm gonna get cracking on some PT reading right now.

Additionally, I've been a leech off of this forum for a while, gaining FAR FAR more than I've ever offered. I'm going to try to start participating more. Hope everyone runs good today, unless you play against me. In that case go [censored] yourself.

Hes got 7.5 buyins for NL 2000....

No seriously NL 100 is a good place. With that role the money will likely seem "real " to you and the play is not that tough to beat but there are some good plays to get under your belt.

Pokerttracker is a must as well. Keeps you from being dishonest about your results (damnit)
