Correct?

No, as the other response said, you have it backwards.

But seriously, the fact that you even have to do this math is a bug in Poker Tracker that comes from kludging a product written for limit games to accomodate big-bet games. If I go start a thread on their forum requesting the enhancement to show stats in BIG BLINDS per 100 hands, i.e. a meaningful NLHE statistic, will anyone back me up so that we might get that enhancement?

"Poker Tracker Big Bets".... phbbbbbt...

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, I still don't get it! Which me means the whole
idea merely obfuscates something which should be dead
simple!

Everyone in NL defines their win rate in terms of big blinds
won per hour so Poker Trackers statistics should reflect
this number....not some meaningless artifact from limit.

Yes, I think we should put this in as a request on the PokerTracker BBS. Please go ahead, and I will definitely
come over to back you up. Maybe we should include a link
to this thread too, in support of the confusion the PT number
breeds.

suerte,
Jonathan

When I said the games have dried up I mean both that they don't spread as many of them, and the weak players have gone elsewhere. Almost never could I find 4 games at the same limit during the day anymore (Party 15/30, 20/40 and 10/20). I tried the 30/60 for a while, and it looked like a good game, but crazy, and I dropped over 30K in a couple of weeks.

It was very much like the paradise 5/10 game that I first started playing full time in many years ago. After Party began, all the bad players left for Party and the Paradise game was left with a bunch of rocks. It looks liek all the bad limit players are playing NL now.

As a quick aside my beginners luck seems to have run out. I just got stacked 3 times in 2 hours .

In my experience, the guy who wrote and maintians the PT software is fantastic at incorporating suggestions such as the ones you guys are talking about here. I bet if you ask for it on the site, he'll do what he can.

david -

There is a very large jump between 200 and 400 on party. I would suggest staying at 200nl until you feel very comfortable there. A very good player should have no trouble pulling down regular 1k nights at 200nl (not sure if you're pro or not, but if you are that gives some perspective on what very good players who have dropped back to 200nl have been saying lately).

at party 100 < 200 <<< 400 <<<<< 600 <<<<<<<<< 1k
at least, that's what people have said. i haven't logged many hands at the 600 and 1k games at party.

What about the NL games at other sites?

I'm wondering about playing somewhere I can get rakeback, although I guess I won't be generating nearly as much rake as I used to.

the 200 and 400 jump on ongame isn't that big, but it's rare for more than four 400 games to be going on

welcome to NL David...it's scary how everyone is playing this game now.
