I'm not really a fan of the venetian poker room

from the bad air freshner to the floor who refuse to start new games with 15 on the list

then that one time when I called to ask if they have 5/10NL going they say a full game and I show up to see 4 people on a list

they [censored] suck

It hit on Saturday afternoon at a 4/8 table. Kid had KT on a TTT board and got beat by the straight flush. He had no idea what was going on and almost started crying when they told him how much he'd won. If I had to guess, I'd say that was a LOT of money where he's concerned.

I was wondering... every time I've gone there, the room was dead and the biggest game going was 4/8. WTF? Then, every time I look in here, everybody's going apeshit nuts for it like it's the greatest room ever. I was starting to wonder WTF was going on.

I like the Venetian poker room in all respects except one: It is very noisy. I wonder if anything can be done about the acoustics.

I'd like to know if those work well. I use high quality earplugs but I find them uncomfortable. And the V's poker room IS much louder than Wynn's for some reason although it's not nearly as loud as Casino Arizona gets when it's busy.

The Bose headsets, while pricy, are the best. I personally favor the Bose 2's, but the Bose 3's in the pic are very good too. Both of them are very comfortable.

I tried using my BOSE QC2's at this years WSOP, I found that the noise level went down greatly however I couldn't hear the idle chatter at the table which is an important barometer of the game. I have since switched to listening to quiet music using standard ear buds, its easier to carry and I can hear better at the table.
