I understand why the Republicans want to play down these developments as their election strategy will feature the security angle again. The media in not featuring this story is doing a disservice. It pretty much destroys the notion of a liberal media. Since the truce Bush has made two speeches on hunting down terrorists, denying them safe harbor, and bringing bin Laden to justice. Current events are making a mockery of his declarations. Bin Laden in the last three days has achieved his safest position in over five years.
