It certainly appears to me that checking the turn, and then either calling his all in on the river, raising all in on his river bet, or shoving the river if he checks would be much much more effective than continuing to represent AA/KK here on the turn. Can anyone disagree with this statement?

I totally agree.

Edit: though, thinking about it a little more, Barry usually plays so fast that it might look weird for him to check this turn and make it seem even more like aces than if he checked.

Well, I wasn't quite getting at this from a pot control stance. I do see how that could be how it was viewed. My main point is that checking the turn is the best way to extract maximum value from hands that we beat. Say you're villain here and you have AK. Aren't you going to view Barry's hand as QQ and play accordingly on the river? Meaning bet for value.

I don't know, maybe I just view this situation in a different way than most. The way I see it, "protecting your hand" is not even something to be concerned with in this spot. I'm not even to concerned with pot control here. All I'm thinking is how do we get all the money in the middle the most efficiently. Meaning what is the best way for us to get him to commit himself while misreading our hand and overvaluing his in the process? I'm convinced that checking the turn and then playing for stacks on the river is the best way to do this. Maybe I'm confused, maybe I'm bad with words, maybe I'm being results oriented (this I doubt, because I make this play frequently), but it seems like a clear cut check to me.
