i tried to purchase something (for like $230) and was shocked when my transaction was rejected. i called my bank, they explained the system crashed and while they were restoring from backups, my atm limit was reset to $100, the default. the custserv girl offered to increase my limit for me, allowing me to make my purchase, so i told her to just remove the limit altogether. she said she couldn't do that, and i had to have a limit. i requested a limit of 80 billion dollars, and she set my requested limit and apologized for the trouble the system crash had caused.

My credit union didn't do cash, but you could cash their checks at chain of banks.
