if he bet this turn, it's to bet/call with whatever hand he bet with or bet/fold with air.

[/ QUOTE ]
if this is true, would this be a good spot to minraise vs an unknown without history?

[/ QUOTE ]

so much depends on how tricky this player is, how aggro he is in blind battles... if you reason the frequency he's bluffing/has a weak hand is significantly greater than the frequency this line is a big hand, then a c/r would be a great play. i'd normally 3-bet the flop if I suspect he might be on air, though.

oh, its possible, i just think most 5 10 players are betting w the intention of calling a CR with any of those hands. or else they chk behind.

blind battles online are pissing contests. And with these stacks I can't see someone tossing T9 in a blind battle here. So no good if you plan on getting someone to fold 2 pair, much less a set.

ANY 8! (as well as a set) but mainly ANY 8!

[/ QUOTE ]

That doesn't seem like a very convincing line with an 8 to me.

if its not a really easy call/fold w/ a set here, then a turn bet by villain is awful.

def agree with this. he needs to have a plan if he's betting that turn without an 8.

either way, i like this play a lot.
