And you should stay out of the way and let him lose. If he wins his pot and the big stack wins a side pot with you, you're out in 3rd, leaving a stack with like 90 chips in to take 2nd. It's so colossally -$ev, it's crazy.

ok yeah, n/m. i just did the math. if it's 33%/33%/33%, calling is worse than -2 compared to folding.

but, it seems like calling with a slightly higher pair like 55 would be correct.

Even if you have a 99% chance to double up? I'm thinking 1% is about the odds you bust out there with AA, for example, but I'm not folding AA.
