What's happy mean? Outward or inward? It seems so many outwardly happy people aren't exactly happy and vice versa. And it's pretty hard to figure out who's the most inwardly happy person!

You're gonna have to think for this one. It's not the sort of thing most people keep a mental list of.

happiest person (and ppl) i know are forgiving. i think this comes down to the fact that if you hold a lot of grudges its impossibly to be completely happy.

they are also trustworthy and sincere. this likely has to do with not having anything weighing on the conscience.

Interestingly, I would say that the happiest people i know posess a lot of the same qualities with the most unhappy ones.
Of all the qualities , I'd say the happier people are the ones with more freedom/independance. The happiest guys i know are not bogged down by families, relatives and social responsibilities.

I'm surprised at the results for "interesting to talk to." IMO people who are happy all the time are pure hell to talk to.

so i can't choose me? I can't think of anyone 'happier' who may not be manic.

Who says we can't? I chose me.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I chose me, too. Most people I know are fairly happy. And none are close to as happy as I am.

I also chose myself. Life's good. I worry about things, but I'm always happy.

I could have chosen a few people who are basically smiling 24/7 because they're too dumb to be anything but happy, but the person I chose is intelligent, introspective, and has been through some difficulties but made peace with who they are and the direction their life is going/has gone, and still ended up a very happy person on the other side.

I think we could take this a different direction and discuss what happiness really is, because I think the person who fully understands all the things there are to be unhappy about and still remains content with themself is happier than the "ignorance is bliss" types, even if they aren't smiling quite as much.

my familly hangs out with this retarded guy named jerry. he is the happiest person i've ever met. he gets excited and smiles about everything. he is incredibly social and likes to interact with everyone. Though he is retarded and can't count past five, he has moments were he is remarkably clever. He can get frustrated at times, but for the most part, he just seems excited to be alive.
