When the warlock told him he was "Poz" the very next sentence out of his mouth was "Oh, I'm not gay though." This of course would be the next secret that probably comes out.

I would stop rooming with him because he thinks he's a warlock. Him being HIV-positive (not yet AIDS unless he's dying) is none of your business as long as you two don't do any swapping of fluids.

He starts thinking about everything that he's ever touched that he's touched.

This makes me want to kick your friend in the balls.

If it makes your friend uncomfortable, for any reason, move out. Rooming with warlocks aren't fun.

What year is this? 1982? Your friend is worried about *touching* something that a guy with AIDS touched? Very mature and intelligent.

[/ QUOTE ]

That was just his very first initial thought...but then he started to think about what if he gets a paper cut. Cuts himself on a kitchen knife slicing an onion. Whatever. And yes, the guy thinking he's a warlock should definately enter the equation.

[/ QUOTE ]

So what if he gets a paper cut? Are you required to suck on the wound for him?

Yeah, the whole situation reminds me of Magic Johnson and Karl Malone. Total ignorance concerning the contraction of the disease. That doesn't mean that his initial reaction is unjustified though. That's just the first thing he felt.

The warlock specifically said AIDS too. Not HIV Pos. AIDS. True, it's non of his business but the Warlock brought it up.

I don't care how un-PC it is, if I were living with a random guy from Craigslist that failed to tell me he had HIV, I would be worried too. It's my life we're talking about. I KNOW I would go get tested.

YOU CANT CATCH AIDS FROM LIVING W/ SOMEONE!!!! Unless he is having sex w/ him, blowing him, sharing needles or razors or is somehow rubbing his semen and blood inside his own open wounds he has nothing to worry about.

However, if it makes him uncomfortable he should move. But he's a moron for worrying about catching it. It's not a [censored] cold.

I'd move out. Very small risk, but very large consequences*. Why take the chance, what is the benefit of sticking around that outweighs this risk?

* Not just to your life, but your future sex life, kids, etc.

How confident are we in this? Has science ever made similar claims about this or other subjects and been wrong? Note, I don't really know anything about aids that I haven't learned from Magic Johnson or Philladelphia.

How about if the warlock uses his razor or tooth brush?
