I'm seeing a pattern here......

FWIW I think OP's hand along with those comments should be in the digest, even stickied.

I want to have more posts under my belt so I just want to add: DONT FOLD!!

You are getting so good odds, that you have to win only ~27 % of the time. Put it differently, you can lose 73 % of the time and still be neutral EV. There is no way, it is so certain he has a set.

I came to this thread hoping for an informative discussion about a close decision based on the two pages, and instead found a sketchy fold followed by everyone saying its an easy call over and over and over.

Then, dbitel comes in to claim that there are actually a lot of people who say easy fold here who are wrong, then is confused by the accusation that he was drinking.

I draw two conclusions.

1) People like to make repetive one line posts. Wonder why?

2) dbitel is drunk.

edit: wtf necromancy

edit 2: To below: yeah this is instacall, but I hadn't seen the OP, just the thread title and the two pages long.

What is there to discuss? This is AA/AK a ton of the time and there should be zero thought put into folding.

This one time (in band camp) i was tilted and overplayed AQ.
This guy folded a set of 9s and told me his hand, cause he thought i had AA, since i bet-3bet all-in instantly.

I do not fold sets on this board ever.
He had to show me that KK, to make me fold.

So, i disagree with the above posters - you shouldn't fold.

i'm not much of a NL player but I am curious as to why you would have called a raise of 4x the BB (raised and reraised) then hit your set and then fold. Pretty much the best that you can expect in that situation is to hit your set, I gues the K made you nervous but if you thought he had KK preflop then why were you in there to begin with? I am genuinely curious about this, thanks.

Are you serious?
Even if he showed him AA/KK preflop, calling with 33 is a good play, cause he won't get away from KK on a 37J board.

I go broke even with the K or A out there.
Sure, sometimes, it will be KK or AA.
But not enough to make me fold a set in this spot.

I might, just might do it against a total nit.
One player that i played against yesterday raised 4 preflop 4 times in a 1000 hands and had a aggression factor of 0.4.

Whenever he raised or c/r, he showed the nuts or the second nuts on showdown.I almost folded a nut straight on a 3 hearts board when he minraised me.I wish i would, cause he flopped a K high flush

So, against him i would fold the set of 3s.
