there was live radio of the final table, with hosts like hellmuth and greenstein and negreanu that was awesome to listen to

I think it was cardplayer

It was/is Bluff Magazine that owns the rights to the exclusive radio broadcast. It will be covered this year as well. There will be a big name pro helping with the play by play.

Nothing can stop a website can covering the event like Pokerstars tried to. But, wasn't the Stars coverage poor? Weren't they ridiculously behind the other online coverage?

[/ QUOTE ]

Uh, you're wrong here. Cardplayer paid a hefty chunk of change for the exclusive online rights. Right now there is a lot of other sites trying to cover the ME, but my guess is when it gets down to under 5 or 6 tables, CP will be making sure no one else is covering the event.

That's just my guess. If CP doesn't do that, they're crazy, and they wasted their money.

Saying "there's nothing that can stop......" is coming from a person who has obviously not dealt with the mega corporation now running the WSOP. You can bet your ass they can stop you from covering the event.

In 2004 Pokerstars actually had the final table that everyone could watch. It had prob a 5 min delay but it was on key. Any guess they might do that again?

it was HbyH action with holecards that became known only to a live audience. i.e. anyone with a cell phone could have described the action, and the geeks at stars programmed this into a replayer for us to watch. it did not know un-exposed hole cards, but it still was cool to watch.

Buy Sirius. It's awesome in so many other ways, the poker coverage is just a bonus.

That'd be like voting for Howard Stern. Can't allow that

The final Table will be covered by Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negranu. You can expect other pros to stop by. I'm hoping they drink heavily during the broadcast.
